What started as a heavy metal jam band of three musicians without a voice has transformed into a force to be reckoned with. Khathodik, born from a series of instrumental jams and a relentless search for the right frontperson, welcomed the enigmatic Skarlit in February 2022. With her entrance, something electric ignited that night, giving birth to a sound that defies conventional genre boundaries.

MUDBUG

The Usual Suspects

Skarlit, a self-taught musician with a flair for goth rock, infused the band with her hauntingly beautiful androgynous tones. Her lyrics—rich with Poe-like intricacies—paint vivid pictures of darkness and desire, resonating deeply with anyone who listens.

Together with Mudbug, whose bass lines hit like a powerful wave that can drop your stomach to your knees, and Wingnut, whose dynamic drumming

combines splashes of chaos with tight precision, they created a perfect canvas for gothic creativity and a touch of debauchery.   But the transformation didn’t stop there.

Enter Mark Moreno, the band’s new, out-of-this-world guitarist. He dove headfirst into their existing setlist, while also bringing fresh riffs and ideas that have nearly doubled their repertoire. With his addition, Khathodik's sound has further evolved, weaving intricate melodies that swirl around the pulsating rhythm section.

As they began to make waves in the Houston music scene, Khathodik's live performances took on a theatrical flair that turned every stage—large or small—into a mesmerizing spectacle. With their compelling new lineup and a slew of new songs in the works, they are ready to step back into the spotlight, eager to feel the glow of the footlights once more.

Prepare for a night of music that promises not only to entertain but to transport you into a world where gothic rock reigns supreme, and every performance feels like a national tour.

The saga of Khathodik is just beginning, and the best is yet to come....
